WordPress offers different user roles to manage the website. Administrator is the role in WordPress with the highest level of authorization. An Admin user can modify any other admin or other user roles and reassign them to a new role.

Administrators can view the profile under “Users” section. WordPress allows administrators to change their email id from user profile settings. However, there will be a verification sent to old email for confirming the new email address.
Administrators can not change their username from the profile settings. If you are an admin and want to change the username, use plugins or modify the username from database table.
In addition to user management, admin users can edit theme and plugin files from the dashboard.
